Great that Guj HC has begun live streaming of proceedings on YouTube. Should be done by all courts including SC. Courts are meant to be public places for all to see. Why shouldn't court proceedings be transparent& for all to see. Will discourage misconducthttps://t.co/fbUkH0ZQ7Y

This is a first-of-its-kind decision by a High Court in the country.
The High Court referred to the Supreme Court’s judgment that the public should be allowed to view hearings through video conferencing.
All the Gujarat HC benches are already functioning through video conferencing since March because of the pandemic.
