Guwahati: In a bid to equip aspiring entrepreneurs of Assam with essential skills and knowledge to launch and manage successful businesses, the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) Research Park Foundation has launched an Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP), in collaboration with the Assam Department of Industries and Commerce.
This intensive programme aims to provide the participants with valuable management insights specifically related to their entrepreneurial journey.
The curriculum will emphasise the application of management theories, models and frameworks in the context of new venture creation.
This practical approach will be instrumental in preparing participants to navigate the challenges and opportunities associated with starting their own businesses.
Designed as an aspirational step for young individuals from across Assam with entrepreneurial ambitions, the programme has the capacity to train around 400 participants, significantly impacting the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Additionally, this initiative will provide the participants with credit linkage support, facilitating access to critical financial resources for their ventures.
The programme will be led by a distinguished team of mentors with faculty members from the IITG providing their academic expertise.
The programme will also benefit from the practical experience of industry experts and domain specialists having expertise in livelihood, entrepreneurship and business incubation.
This combined faculty of academics and industry professionals ensures a well-rounded and informative programme.
This collaborative initiative between the IITG and the Assam government signifies a significant step towards empowering aspiring entrepreneurs in the state.
