Idea, from now on, will no longer be offering postpaid connection to its users, even though the company in 2018 had announced to offer separate postpaid plans after it merged with Vodafone

The main reason behind this step is to offer postpaid plans under Vodafone RED.

The new initiative will first start in Mumbai and slowly it will move to other parts of the country.

“After the merger, both Idea and Vodafone offered postpaid services in two different brands. But from now on the merged company will offer postpaid plans under one brand,” said Vodafone sources.

This change will apply to all postpaid users, and Idea users will automatically transfer to Vodafone plans and the new plans will be available on both platforms- online and offline.

“We are taking the theme of one company, one network forward by consolidating our postpaid offerings under the Vodafone Red brand,” said Avneesh Khosla, MD Vodafone
Idea.

Presently Idea is offering two postpaid plans- one starting at Rs 399 and the at Rs 499.

The first plan of Rs 399 offers unlimited calling, 40GB data, 100GB data, and roaming free.

The Rs 499 plan, similarly, offers 75GB data and the rest of the benefits are the same.

There are two Vodafone Red postpaid plans. The first plan is of Rs 399 and it offers free benefits worth Rs 2,497 and includes 40GB data with a rollover benefit.

The other plan is available at Rs 499 and it offers benefits worth Rs 3,946, 75GB data, and unlimited calls.

The company is also offering a Vodafone REDX plan and this is the most premium plan and it is priced at Rs 999. other operators.
