It was a humiliating defeat for Nagaland after they lost their second match in the ongoing premier Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy in the hands of Andhra Pradesh by a huge margin of 179 runs at Vijayawada on Friday.

A report quoting joint secretary of Nagaland Cricket Association, stated that Andhra Pradesh won the toss and elected to bat first.

Andhra batsmen put up a huge total of 241 runs with Ricky Bhui scoring 108 runs.

Nagaland were all out with a paltry 65 runs on board in 13.1 overs.

Rachit picked up two wickets for 44 runs while Pawan Yuyal and Tahmeed Rahman chipped in with one wicket each.

Sashikanth, S K Ismail and Karen captured three wickets each for Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier, Nagaland had also lost its opening match against Jammu and Kashmir by nine wickets.

Nagaland will next play against Manipur on Monday next.
