Heavy rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in several places over Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and other parts of Northeast in the next 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours, the region has witnessed isolated rain and thunderstorm with many parts in Arunachal Pradesh witnessing snowfall as well.
As per the meteorological department, the region has been witnessing rain and thunderstorm due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
And on top of that, the southerly winds from the Bay of Bengal are increasing moisture in the region.
The meteorological department further said that Northeast India would again witness another spell of rain and thunderstorm between February 24 and February 27.
