Hamro Sikkim Party (HSP) working president, Bhaichung Bhutia on Sunday expressed that the party would continuously work on its principle of clean politics and in the interest of Sikkim and its people.
He stated that HSP would extend its full support to the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) government in the interest of the people of Sikkim.

Addressing the first press conference after the election on Sunday, Bhutia expressed that the HSP fully respect the mandate received by the people of Sikkim in this election.
“We have learnt lots from this election. As most of our candidates had contested the election for the first time so it was learning experience for all of us,” he said.
He expressed that the people of Sikkim have gave a clear message to HSP that the party should work harder. On the same, Bhutia stated that by respecting the decision of the people the party would work continuously on its two core issues of to work in the interest of Sikkim and its people and to work on its principle of clean politics.

HSP working president congratulated the SKM party and the chief minister P S Golay for forming the government in the State. He expressed his confidence that SKM government would work in the interest of Sikkim and its people.
“We would provide full support to the State Government in working in the interest of the people of Sikkim,” he added.
HSP is organizing a meeting of all organizations, leaders and members of the party in next few days. Bhutia mentioned that the meeting would discuss on the future strategies and course of action of the party.
He added that the meeting would also discuss on various issues related on recently held elections in the State and on the upcoming by-elections in the State.
He shared that a delegation of the party would soon meet the union ministers and BJP leadership in Delhi.
“In our meeting with the union ministers and BJP leadership we would also place the issue of the present financial crisis facing by Sikkim as mentioned by the chief minister in his recent address and would request the Centre to help the State in such crisis,” he said.
Responding to media queries, Bhutia stated that although the party lost in the election but it has not compromised with any principle of clean politics and its issues.
“We have learnt lots from the election and we will work to rectify our mistakes to work more effectively in days to come. We will always stand for our voters and raise voice for them,” he said.
Speaking on the recent meeting with BJP leader, Ram Madhav, Bhutia stated that the meeting was very fruitful and discussed upon various issues of the State.
