Mrinmoy Rajkhowa, a student from Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast, will represent India in an upcoming international chess championship.
According to a report published on Wednesday by G Plus, Mrinmoy Rajkhowa, who is a Class III student pursuing his studies at Sudershan Public School, Guwahati, is all set to participate in the FIDE World Cadet Chess Championship – 2018 (in the Under-8 boys’ category) to be held at Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

The report also stated that the championship will be organised from November 3 to 16.
It has been reported that Mrinmoy Rajkhowa had secured the third position in the National Under-7 Chess Championship held last year.
He had also represented India in the FIDE Asian Cadet Chess Championship – 2018 (Under-8 boys category) organised in Thailand this year.

As per the report, the Class III student from Assam has been undergoing training at the Assam Chess Club for the last three years.
