Guwahati based engineer Dipankar Talukdar, who has recently won the Mr India Model of the World 2018 title, will represent India at the world event in April next.
Talukdar won the Mr India title at the finale event held at Bengaluru recently. He will represent India at the Mister Model of the World pageant to be held at Yangon in Myanmar from April 20-28.
“I am happy to let you all know that I will be participating at the Mister Model of the World pageant in Myanmar along with contestants from around 25 countries. I seek your love and blessings and hope that I will bring the title to India,” Dipankar told reporters here on Thursday.
The pageant show was directed by Akshay Raichurkar, who also groomed the models besides himself being the director of several international beauty pageants.
Dipankar, a mechanical engineer by profession, has been in the modelling profession since some time.
“I have seen Dipankar grow as a professional model. He has participated in various assignments. I congratulate him for becoming Mr India and wish him all the luck for the Mr World event in Myanmar,” said choreographer Uday Shankar.
The Mister Model of the World pageant envisaged to be a foundation for handsome and smart men, who have the passion and commitment to show the beauty of the world, through fashion, culture, heritage and values, while promoting peace and their individual advocacies.
Dipankar did his schooling from Cotton Collegiate in Guwahati. He studied mechanical engineering from Royal School of Engineering and Technology in Guwahati. He was one of the finalists at the Mega Mister North East 2017.
