Senior photographer-cum-sculptor Mrinal K Chakraborty is all set to come up with his 3rd Solo Exhibition on Photography and Wood carving (sculpture) at Gauhati Artists’ Guild premises in Chandmari of the city.
The 3rd Solo Exhibition on Photography and Wood carving (sculpture) by artiste Chakraborty will be inaugurated on March 9, 2019 (Saturday).

The inaugural programme of the exhibition will be held at 5.30 pm.
According to information, Assam’s eminent sculptor Biren Singha will grace the inaugural programme as the chief guest along with Dr. Dilip Kumar Kalita, director of Anundoram Borooah Institute of Language, Art & Culture, Assam (ABILAC) as the guest of honour.
Sculptor Biren Singha is one of the finest artists and sculptors of Assam.

According to reports, around 200 of his bronze and fibreglass sculptures beautify Guwahati city and several other parts of Assam. Artiste Singha has also worked as an art director for feature films such as ‘Pani’, ‘Jirsong’ and ‘The Untold Story of Blue Hills’.
The exhibition galley at Gauhati Artists’ Guild will remain open on other days from 12 noon to 7.30 pm till March 12, 2019.
The Gauhati Artists’ Guild, which was initiated in 1976 by a group of like-minded creative people, is among the forerunners in the field of art & culture in Northeast India.
The institution has emerged as a leading premier platform to promote art of Northeast India to the entire world.
