Manipur Governor Dr Najma Heptulla informed the people of Tamenglong that any scheme, announced by the government whether it is health insurance, education scheme or whether it is girl child education, will be implemented.

The Governor also said, “We will try to showcase the beauty and culture of Manipur whether it is dress, dance, music and culture through ‘digital technology’ by creating job opportunities.”

Dr Heptulla was addressing a gathering while inaugurating a Public Convenience constructed by 143 Battalion CRPF under civic action plan at Khongsang village in Tamenglong district, about 100 km west of Imphal on Saturday .

In the day’s inaugural function, she expressed that she is happy to be with the people of Tamenglong during the Easter Week. She urged the village authority and the Chairman of the village to conduct a survey on women, men and children whether they have insurance on health, accident and life insurance as it is the need of the hour.

During her first visit to Tamenglong district, two memorandums were also submitted with a request to build a football ground and to open a computer training programme centre in Khongshang village.

She assured the people of Khongshang village that football ground would be built with Governor’s fund and regarding the opening of computer training centre, she said she would talk with the government of Manipur.

The Governor also said, “God is very kind for giving us a clean atmosphere, clean forest and bio-diversity and it is our inherent duty that we should protect our nature, clean our rivers and lakes.”

IGP, CRPF, Manipur and Nagaland Sector Vikram Sahgal and Commandant of 143, Battalion CRPF Lal Chand Yadav, village authority, civil society, church leaders and school children also attended the programme.
