Goalpara to host international seminar of Gaudiya Math

A three-day international conference of All India Sree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math is being organized at Goalpara in Assam.

The conference is organized in commemoration with the 94th appearance anniversary of renowned Baishnava guru Sree Bhakti Ballav Thirth Goswami.

The programme is scheduled to begin from Saturday at the Tirtheswar Devalaya on the foothills of historical Hulukanda Hill at Goalpara town which has already been beautifully decorated.

Sree Bhakti Ballav Tirtha Goswami is the former chairman of World Vaishnav Association and founder of Global Organization of Krishna Chaitanya’s Universal Love (GOKUL).

He was born in Goalpara at the present place of the Tirtheswar Devalaya which has become a holy shrine for the Krishna Bhaktas and his devotees.

About 20,000 devotees including 2,000 foreigners are expected to take part and 2,000 devotees are working day and night for the successful celebration of the occasion.

For this grand reception, all the premier hotels, lodges, guest houses in the district have been booked in advance for comfortable and convenient accommodation of the participants

According to the programme schedule, on Saturday, Odhibas Sangkirtan will take place from 5 pm to 9 pm and closing with Hori Kotha.

On Sunday, from 8 am to 10 am, floral tribute to the Guru will take place and from 10 am to 1 pm descriptions of Guru Mohima will be held.

At night, performances of Ramleela by the local Vaishnavas are going to take place.

A mega cultural rally will be taken out at 9 am on Monday which will pass through the major roads of the town. On the other hand, prasad will be distributed from 12 noon to 3 pm.

On Thursday, while addressing a press meet, Bishnu Das Brahmachary, in charge of Tirtheswar Devalaya and Joyprakash, the spokesperson, appealed the people of Assam, irrespective of caste and creed to extend cooperation and taste the Bhakti Rasa of Krishna Katha and learn the story of Guru Bhakti Ballav Tirtha Goswami and his way of spreading Krishna Rasa.
