“Discipline is bridge between goals and accomplishment.”

This is the dictum, which is being taught during the combined annual training camp for  NCC girl cadets organised under the aegis of 60 Assam Girls Battalion NCC at the SPS School, Barsapara in Guwahati.

The  NCC girl cadets’ camp which was started on July 9, 2018, will conclude on July 18, 2018.

 According to information, a total of 350  girl cadets of the NCC from various parts of the State including far-flung areas of Orang in Darrang district and Dhubri district are attending the camp wherein the cadets would be taught to fight all challenges in life, inculcating leadership qualities, sense of leadership and comradeship through specially designed and customized training programme.

Apart from the regular NCC activities, during the camp, the cadets would also get training on drill, PT, weapon training, range firing.

The NCC girl cadets would also be given exposure to banking facilities, relevant legal exposure, self-defence, disaster management, fire safety, traffic regulations, career guidance, basic hygiene and sanitation, training on how to fight monsoon related diseases and prevention would also be imparted.

The camp has been organised under the supervision of Commanding Officer Col Karnail Singh and his deputy Major Kavita Chhillar.

The  camp was inaugurated by Group Commander Brig Akshat  Arora, SM wherein he said that this camp would transform the trainees’ life for a betterment.
