Addressing the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM ) conference at the Kula Dutta Memorial Manch at Garmur here on Sunday,  Sonowal said that though the BJP was way ahead of what the Congress had done in the spheres of health and education, sectors  especially in village areas,  the people have to be made aware of all the schemes and plans which the State was to implement.
Sonowal asked the party workers to not only work in the grassroots level but also to take the feedback of the people especially if they had any complaint regarding the functioning or implementation of the schemes.
Chief Minister Sonowal further enumerated the various schemes of the party.
Sonowal also said that the BJP had zero tolerance towards corruption  and that it was due to the Modi model and the value-based politics that the party had won all over India and made major inroads in the Northeast.
“The Northeast is very important for the BJP and the overwhelming mandate of the people in the recently-held elections in three States of the region indicates the confidence that the people repose faith in the BJP.  In the panchayat elections too, we should retain the same faith, ” he said.

He further said that the government was doing all it could do to bring out hidden talents from the remote areas by holding such tournaments of football,  cricket,  etc.
The Chief Minister said that private organizations should also come forward to promote sports and sponsor talent.
In the final of the Chief Minister’s Tea Cup, Kokrajhar emerged champions scoring three goals against Dibrugarh which scored one goal.
