Four illegal Rohingya immigrants were nabbed by a team of Manipur Police from Moreh district on Tuesday evening.
A team of CDO Moreh, led by DSP Moreh, Thomas Thokchom, and under the supervision of Superintendent of Police (SP) Tengnoupal, Dr S Ibomcha Singh, conducted a search operation at a hotel near Gate no 2 at Moreh and arrested these four illegal Rohingya immigrants at around 4 pm on Tuesday.

The arrested Rohingya immigrants have been identified as Zober aged 21 years, s/o Warhussain of Yakhai in Myanmar, Rapik, aged 19 years, s/o Md Adsama of Yakhai in Myanmar, Kamal Hussain, aged 19 years s/o Abutaher of Yakhai in Myanmar and Munni Bibi, aged 19 years and daughter of one Mohammad of Yakhai in Myanmar.
One Takhellambam Gobin Singh, aged 29 years and son of one Takhellambam Subol Singh of Lilong Urup Arapti Makha Leikai, Imphal East has allegedly trafficked the illegal Rohingya immigrants to Moreh.
He was also arrested along with the illegal migrants.
The arrested immigrants along with the trafficker have been handed over to Moreh Police Station.
Meanwhile, police have begun intensive grilling of the arrested persons.
A case has also been registered in this connection and Moreh police have started investigation into the whole incident.
