BTC Executive Member Rajib Brahma laid the foundation stone for construction of the Rabindra Nagar Development Committee Office-cum-Community Hall (RNDC) at Rabindra Nagar Ward No 3 in Kokrajhar in the presence of different community leaders on Monday in Kokrajhar.

Rajib Brahma, EM, Irrigation department, BTC, while laying the foundation stone said that if completed the RNDC community building will help in providing services to all communities living in the areas of Rabindra Nagar.

He said that under the leadership of BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary, the BTC has been working for all-round development of all communities whether town and remote areas and the Council has been trying to provide special facility to all sections of people of the region.

Talking to media persons, Madabh Rajbangshi, President of the RNDC said, “RNDC community hall will help the people of Rabindra Nagar including students, teachers, senior citizens and others.”

Rajbanshi said that BTC EM Jagadish Sarkar gave green signal to build the RNDC and assured of sanctioning funds for construction of the building for the benefit of the Rabindra Nagar people.  The community hall will be constructed at a cost of around Rs 20 lakh.
