Former Chief Information Commissioner of India (CIC) Radha Krishna Mathur has been appointed Advisor to the Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb.
The council of ministers of Tripura decided on the appointment of Mathur on Thursday.
The prestigious post bagged by Mathur has the rank and privilege of a cabinet minister.
Mathur, who retired as CIC last month, is a retired 1977 batch IAS officer of Tripura cadre.
Born on 25 November 1953, he is an engineering graduate from IIT Kanpur. He completed his postgraduate degree in engineering from IIT Delhi, reports TNT.
Mathur had served as the Defence Production Secretary of India, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Secretary of India and the Chief Secretary of Tripura.
He had worked for 23 years in Tripura in various prestigious posts.
