Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the people to donate openheartedly at PM’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) fund.
” This will be a dedicated national fund with the primary objective of dealing with any kind of emergency or distress situation like posed by the COVID-19 pandemic,” the PM said.

And accordingly, the Prime Minister shared a UPI ID as well where people can donate openheartedly.
But beware before you make any donation! Check if you are transferring your hard-earned money to the right UPI ID or are you sending it to a fake ID created by some fraud persons.

When you are donating for a noble cause, then it should reach the correct account and you should not fall prey to any scam.
The PM-CARES fund will enable micro-donations allowing a large number of people where they will be able to contribute with the smallest of denominations.
Donations to this fund will be exempted from income tax under section 80(G).

People can also donate to the fund on pmindia.gov.in using UPI, Net Banking, RTGS, NEFT and debit and credit cards.
