Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the people to donate openheartedly at PM’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) fund.

” This will be a dedicated national fund with the primary objective of dealing with any kind of emergency or distress situation like posed by the COVID-19 pandemic,” the PM said.

And accordingly, the Prime Minister shared a UPI ID as well where people can donate openheartedly.

But beware before you make any donation! Check if you are transferring your hard-earned money to the right UPI ID or are you sending it to a fake ID created by some fraud persons.

The correct UPI ID of #PMCaresFunds is pmcares@sbi and if you see any other ID then immediately report them.

Any other ID then the one mentioned above are created to dupe you and collect your hard-earned money.

When you are donating for a noble cause, then it should reach the correct account and you should not fall prey to any scam.

The PM-CARES fund will enable micro-donations allowing a large number of people where they will be able to contribute with the smallest of denominations.

Donations to this fund will be exempted from income tax under section 80(G).

The account number for the PM CARES fund is 2121PM20202 with IFSC code SBIN0000691. The SWIFT code is SBININBB104.
