EPFO employees contribute Rs 2.5 crore to PM CARES fund

The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has voluntarily contributed one day’s salary- amounting to around Rs. 2.5 crores to the PM CARES Fund.

“EPFO, as one of world’s largest Social Security Organizations, stands committed in the service of the nation in every possible way,” a stated a statement.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has posed serious challenges for the health and economic security of millions of Indians,” the statement further stated.

It further said that the employees, by donating their one day’s salary- are happy to contribute to the nation’s fight against the pandemic.

The Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund’ (PM CARES Fund) with the primary objective of dealing with any kind of emergency or distress situation.
