Union DoNER Minister Dr Jitendra Singh called on Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (retired) BD Mishra at the Raj Bhavan in Itanagar on Wednesday evening where they discussed the ongoing and the proposed development plans for the Northeast with special reference to Arunachal Pradesh.
During the discussion Arunachal Governor Mishra emphasised the inescapable requirement of early road, rail and air connectivity for the State.
Mishra also stressed on the requirement of foolproof and undisturbed communication network.
The Governor requested the DoNER Minister to help the State in early commissioning of the three Sainik Schools which have been sanctioned for Arunachal Pradesh.
Governor Mishra also urged Singh to motivate the Nationalistic Business Houses to set up their establishments in the State which can generate employment for our youth.
Singh was very positive about the suggestions made by the Governor and mentioned, “The Central Government is very keen and enthusiastic to develop Arunachal Pradesh and provide best opportunities for the young entrepreneurs of the State for starting their business.”
During the meeting with the Governor, DoNER Minister Singh also mentioned that he would interact with other Ministries for resolving the difficulties, if any, on the ongoing projects in Arunachal.
