A team of Lekhapani forest personnel led by Ranger Aftabuddin Chowdhury on Friday afternoon seized three Bolero Pick Up vehicles loaded with illegally procured minor minerals at Ledu -Mullang Road under Lekhapani Forest Range of Digboi division in Assam’s Tinsukia District.
According to department sources, based on tip-off centering around the illegal transportation of the forest product from Mullang Ghat area, the team rushed to the site and seized the three loaded vehicles bearing registration numbers AS-23-BC-7869, AS-23-AC-0180 and a one without number. The Forest department team also apprehended the drivers identified as Dipen Boraik, Jogdish Lod and Manoj Munda belonging to Mulang and Borgolai area.
