A large number of visitors gathered at the 44th Karbi Youth Festival (KYF) on day three where various competitions were held at Taralangso in Diphu on Saturday.

The competitions started from 10.30 am in the morning.
Traditional sports Hambi Kepathu (Ghila khel) was held at Hambi Kepathu Aklam. Executive Member (EM) of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Jagatsing Engti inaugurated the completion. There were 18 teams from different zones participating in the competition.
At Hemphu Mukrang Achetai, also called KCS field, Kengdongdang Pen Kekat – running with bamboo stilts for men – was conducted.

Later, Bangphi Soktok Chingdi – synchronised paddy pouncing by four girls – was also conducted.
At the Singmirjeng open stage, Ritnong Chingdi – cultivation dance – was performed.

Traditional yarn spinning with spinnerets for women and extempore speech was organised at Longbi Chidu stage.

Drawing competition for children was conducted at Longmirjeng. In the evening at the same stage, the Banjar kekan was held.
Again at Longbi Chidu Oso Kebai – cradle song and dead lift competition was held.

Rongkim Alun – song of establishing a village at Semson Sing Ingti open stage and modern group song competition at Long Mirjeng were held.
During the day, fewer visitors were seen, but after 5 pm there was a rush of people and the half completed two-lane road from DIG Bungalow to Taralangso was crowded with all types of vehicles.
