Tripura Education Minister, Ratan Lal Nath, feels that if the entire population is educated, crime and other social vices will automatically reduce from the society.

Nath expressed this view while addressing a programme organized as part of the state-wide celebration of International Literacy Day-2018 at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala on Saturday.

Nath was of the opinion that the present education system has undergone major changes and today’s modern education is dictated by wishes of students.

The Education Minister also said that the present Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government in the State is committed to improve the educational system of the State.

He also said that the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has introduced skill development along with curriculum activities, adding that, such initiative will boost up skills of the educated youths for future endeavour.

Nath further asserted that there is no dearth of talents in Tripura and to enrich the talents of the students, the State Government is working on self-sufficiency through education.

He also added that education must have humanitarian lesson for children, which will develop them as educated as well as good human being.

Interacting with the audience, mostly students, teachers, adult learners, Nath appealed to all to acquire knowledge as much as possible  and also take efforts to educate one’s neighbours and the society.

Nath also assured the gathering that within the next three years, Tripura will be a truly educated state of the country.
