Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president and BCCI Technical Committee chairman Saurav Ganguly on Thursday held a meeting with the cricket control bodies of the north-eastern states in Kolkata to discuss development of the game and exchange programmes between CAB and the north-eastern states.

The meeting was jointly chaired by Ganguly and New Areas Development Programme (NADP) chairman Avishek Dalmiya.

Sikkim Cricket Association was represented by its president Lobzang G Tenzing and general secretary Sonam Palden Bhutia in the meeting.

During the meeting, Ganguly emphasized on having a route map for cricketing facilities, coaches grooming programmes and longer version matches in the north-eastern states.

The CAB president also offered exchange programme with Cricket Association of Bengal involving tournaments in Kolkata during later part of this year.

Ganguly further discussed about having a special programme for 30 selected players, five each from six cricket playing north-eastern states.
