Addressing reporters, Chaudhury stressed the significance of the 18th Lok Sabha election for the populace of the country.
The rally saw the presence of Congress leaders, including West Parliamentary Constituency candidate Ashish Kumar Saha and former Minister and Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman.
Chaudhury remarked, “Those in power today had no involvement in the freedom struggle. This Lok Sabha election is a crucial opportunity to stand against them. This administration must be ousted through any means necessary. Over the past decade, the BJP government has fostered chaos by undermining the nation’s democracy and constitutional framework. Even as the electoral process unfolds nationwide, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal finds himself incarcerated on alleged corruption charges.”

He further alleged that the BJP has indulged in corruption under the guise of electoral activities, branding it as the most corrupt party globally.
“The primary issue is that the BJP has been identified by the Supreme Court as the foremost perpetrator of black money dealings. A similar scenario unfolds in Tripura. Here, democracy languishes, and the rights of the people are disregarded. Today’s battle is to unseat this administration, safeguard the nation, and uphold the Constitution. Thus, the populace is urged to elect competent representatives to the Legislative Assembly and the Parliament,” added the opposition leader.
