In view of the prevailing COVID19 situations, all the activities of the Common Entrance Examination scheduled to be held in different parts of Northeast on April 25, 2021 have been postponed.

The Army recruitment rally, scheduled to be held on May 1, 2021 has also been postponed.

According to a press release, issued by the director of recruitment, Northeast States, the common entrance examination was scheduled to be held on April 25, 2021, at Shillong, Jorhat, Narangi and Rangapahar.

The states to be affected are Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Sikkim, West Bengal and Odisha.

An Indian Army recruitment rally was scheduled to be held on May 1, 2021 at Aizawl, which has also been postponed.

The state to be affected is Mizoram.

“Fresh dates as and when received shall be communicated to all candidates through various means available,” the statement said.

India reported 2,59,170 new Covid19 cases and 1,761 more deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union health ministry said on Tuesday.

India’s total active caseload has reached 20,31,977.

It now comprises 13.26% of the country’s total positive cases.

The daily positivity rate (7 day moving average) continues to show an upward trend, currently stands at 15.99%.

The National Mortality Rate has been falling and currently stands at 1.18%.

Nine states/UTs have not reported any COVID19 deaths in the last 24 hours.

These states are Ladakh (UT), D&D & D&N, Tripura, Sikkim, Mizoram, Lakshadweep, Nagaland, A&N Islands and Arunachal Pradesh.
