Active COVID-19 cases in the northeast rose to 4097 on Saturday with the identification of fresh cases from across the region.
Assam’s active case tally on Saturday morning stands at 2660.
The active cases on Saturday morning in Tripura is 268, Manipur is 682, Arunachal Pradesh is 124, Mizoram 101, Sikkim 48 and Meghalaya is 5.
Of the total 10,505 cases reported in the northeast, 6042 have been recovered and discharged from various hospitals across the region.
In Assam, so far 4248 patients have recovered from the infection and have been discharged from the hospitals.
Assam is followed next by Tripura where a total of 1062 numbers of patients have been discharged from the hospital.
Next is Manipur where a total of 393 patients have been discharged from the hospital.
In Nagaland, 162 patients have been discharged from the hospital.
A total of 49 patients in Arunachal Pradesh, 47 in Mizoram, 42 in Meghalaya and 39 in Sikkim have recovered and discharged from hospitals so far.
