The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) Integrated Foundation, donated Rs 5,00,000 towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Nagaland on Sunday.

The cheque was handed over to State Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Sunday by BSE executive, Surajit Banerjee, accompanied by Shrawan Jain.

Moreover, the All Nagaland Private School Association (Dimapur Unit) led by its president Andrew Ahoto also called upon the Chief Minister and handed over two cheques of Rs 1,50,000 each, totalling to Rs three lakhs towards Chief Minsiter’s Relief Fund.

Out of this, Rs 1,50,000 is meant for Nagaland while the other amount of Rs 1,50,000 is meant for Kerala flood victims, a release issued on Sunday stated.

Rio assured the delegation that the amount would be transferred to the Kerala CMRF.

During the meeting, ANPSA delegation also conducted a prayer for the family members of late Imtikumzuk who passed away on September 22.

While appreciating the donors for coming voluntarily to donate generously, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude on behalf of the State Government and stated that all donations would be utilized in a transparent manner.
