Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Sunday said that that the Congress will win back most of the 24 seats in the ensuing Assembly by-elections.
Nath, whose government fell in March this year, said that he was not worried about the ensuing elections.
The Congress government in MP fell after 22 of its MLAs resigned from the party and joined BJP.
“The voters today know the truth and are aware of the reality. They may be silent now, but they know as to what is happening around them,” he said.
“I am confident that the present BJP government in the state will bite the dust in the ensuing by-election,” Nath further said.
“By winning 20-22 seats, the Congress will storm back to power,” he reiterated.
He also informed that several BJP leaders have been in “touch with him” and said they will come out when “the time right”.
