The leading politicians of the Northeast are pouring their congratulatory notes through social media to Jagat Prakash Nadda who has been selected as the new working president of the BJP by the party’s parliamentary board on Monday.
Nadda was selected for the prestigious post at a meeting of the BJP’s parliamentary board that was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah among others.

Modi stated on his official Twitter handle, “Shri @JPNadda is a diligent Karyakarta of the Party, who has risen through the ranks due to his hardwork and organisational skills. Humble and affable, he is widely respected across the BJP family. Congratulations to him on becoming the Working President of the Party.”
Born on December 2, 1960, Nadda was a former Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare.
He also served as a minister of forest, environment, science and technology in Himachal Pradesh.
