Communist Subhashini Ali’s unsavoury remark against Prime Minister that PM stands for ‘pocket maar’ has fuelled anger among cross sections of society in Tripura.
President of the All India Democratic Women’s Association Subhashini Ali has raised controversy while making Narendra Modi responsible for the sufferings of the common people during the demonetization process saying that PM stands for ‘pocket maar’.
The top Communist Party of India (Marxist) women leader was addressing a Left Front election campaign public rally in Tripura.
Raising the issue of demonetization against Narendra Modi, Ali asked the gathering that what is the full form of the abbreviation PM and said that PM stands for ‘pocket maar’
Meantime, the BJP women cell strongly condemned the view of the CPI-M top leader and burnt her effigy in protest.
Papiya Datta, general secretary of the BJP Mohila Morcha Tripura unit said, “In protest of CPI-M all India leader Subhashini Ali’s maligning comment against the Indian Prime Minister we are burning her effigy and we condemn it. By uttering such comment she has shown disrespect the post of our Prime Minister and President. So we the members of the BJP Mohila Morcha are protesting against this.”
As the countdown of the date for the assembly election in Left rule Tripura begins allegations and counter allegations between the ruling CPI-M and main opposition BJP have reached a new height.
