Churches in Sikkim will host All Sikkim Christian Summit on February 7 at Jorethang playground in South Sikkim.

Addressing the press conference, ASCS working president Satish Chandra Rai said all churches of Sikkim have came together to host this mega and historic event for the first time in the state.

Preparation for the Summit is going on in full swing to organise the event in a grand manner. He said more than 50,000 leaders and members of different churches from across the state are expected to attend the All Sikkim Christian Summit.

Rai said Sikkim has witnessed physical and spiritual development simultaneously under the successful leadership of chief minister Pawan Chamling. People of Sikkim are practicing their respective religion and belief freely in the regime of the present government.

The summit will also have presentations by 400-member choir team and by other Christian artists.

“On the occasion, we all Christians of the state will pray together for peace, security and development of Sikkim and well-being of the people,” he said.
