Union Minister of State (Finance), Pratap Sukhla said that the 7th central pay commission scale should be furnished to the state employees of Manipur.
He said this during his visit to Imphal. Shukla also assured that he would talk to the concerned authorities when he reaches New Delhi.
Notably, the state government employees have been urging State Chief Minister N Biren Singh to fix a schedule for implementation of the new central pay commission scale as the Chief Minister assured to implement it soon.
The Union Minister had a prolonged meeting with officials of the Central Excise Department, bankers and with Taxation Department at Chingmeirong in Imphal.
He was also apprised of the ongoing cease work strike of the employees that was launched on March 22 demanding implementation of the seventh pay commission scale.
The Union Minister further said that all works are being monitored by the Prime Minister’s Office and he was sent to Imphal to make an assessment over the central schemes being taken up in the State.
Shukla also met Biren Singh at the latter’s office.
Shukla also assured that all possible assistance will be extended to the socially backward group under the financial inclusion schemes.
