Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Saturday disclosed that the Centre has sanctioned fund to undertake facelift work of three national highways – Manu to Singlongbari, Kailashahar to Teliamura via Kamalapur and Khowai and Agartala Sabroom.
Deb said this while speaking at a programme of State Engineer’s Association Tripura (SEAT) to mark its golden jubilee celebration year in Agartala on Saturday, according to tripurainfo.com.
The Chief Minister also said an outlay of Rs 850 crore has been allocated for the development of three road works in advance so that works don’t get stalled.
Deb while reiterating that his government has been making all out efforts to make the State a model state by 2022, said a plan has been chalked out to build two 15-storied buildings in the city to accommodate government offices and business hub.
He also said that the State Government is also working hard on five missions – flourishing agriculture, arrest of crime against women, putting an end to mafia raj and addiction free society.
The Chief Minister further asserted that engineers are also part of the government and they must perform their duties and responsibilities perfectly to yield better results.
Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Deb Barma was also present along with other distinguished guests on the occasion.
Meanwhile, a cheque of Rs 50,000 was also handed over to the Chief Minister for the Chief Minister’s relief fund by the SEAT.
