The ministry of housing and urban affairs (MoHUA) has reviewed the progress of Urban Flagship Missions of the central government in the northeastern states.

MoHUA secretary Durga Shankar Mishra reviewed the progress through a webinar and discussed it with officials of the concerned department.

“Reviewed the Urban Flagship Missions in a Webinar meeting with Chief Secretaries/ Principal Secretaries/Secretaries (UD)/ Mission Directors of all North Eastern Region States namely Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya. Concerned officials from all the states were also present in the webinar yesterday,” said Mishra.

He said that significant progress has been made in all the Missions. “Urban infrastructure projects & reforms of AMRUT, projects under Smart Cities Mission & Swachh Bharat mission were discussed,” he said.

The meeting also had a state-wise discussion on the construction of houses under PMAY-Urban, DAY-NULM, RERA, NERDUP.

“Future strategies to deliver were drawn during the meeting,” said Mishra.
