The Border Security Force (BSF) is all set to raise the issue of illegal influx from across the border with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in the forthcoming BSG-BGB Director General level talks.
The 49th Director General level border co-ordination conference between BSF and BGB will be held in New Delhi from December 25 to 30.
Officials said that BSF will discuss prevention against attacks and assault on BSF and Indian civilians by Bangladesh criminals and miscreants.
A number of other issues including joint efforts to prevent trans-Border crimes, cattle smuggling, smuggling of fake currency note, gold smuggling, illegal migration and human trafficking, breaching and damage of IBB fence, border violation, illegal crossing, kidnapping and abduction, illegal crossing by nationals of countries other than Bangladesh, action against Northeast militants groups will be raised by BSF.
During the conference, a 10-member delegation of India headed by Vivek Johri, director general, BSF along with senior officials of the Ministry of external affairs and other law enforcement agencies will meet 11 members of BGB headed by Gen Md Shafeenul Islam, director general of BGB.
