The COVID-19 pandemic has blown a death knell in global economy.

Almost all forms of economic activities and industries have come to a grinding halt.

The scenario in India is no different.

All sectors- be it entertainment or tourism- have been severely hit by the pandemic crisis.

The entertainment industry is one of the worst-hit.

No new movies have hit the shooting floors.

With cinema halls and multiplexes closed in most of the States, no new movies are released for more than three months.

However, the die-hard entertainers are yet optimistic.

They are waiting for the right moment to strike.

Kartik Paliwal is one such artiste.

He is a well-known casting director in Bollywood.

He is also working as an actor, model, photographer, television personality, and upcoming producer.

He has experience of more than eight years in the Hindi film industry as well as in the television Industry.

Kartik is now looking towards making his foothold in the Northeast.

Talking exclusively to Northeast Now from Mumbai, Kartik said the Northeast has given so many talents to the Hindi film industry.

“There are many potential talents in the Northeast. I would like to tap them and give them exposure,” he said.

The young and dynamic casting director Kartik Paliwal has ventured into production and has launched his own production company called Paliwal Group of Companies.

Kartik has roped in Siddharth Sipani of the television serial Zindagi Ki Mahek for his new project – a music video.

Notably, Siddharth has a strong Northeast connection as his ancestors lived in Assam.

Kartik has debuted as a producer with the music video and for the project, he has roped in Sidharth as the lead while Saath Nibhana Saathiya fame Kunal Singh will be seen in a negative shade in the music video.

The song is titled Ekk Wari and sung by Rishi Roy.

Music is given by Rishi Roy while the beautiful lyrics are penned by Talwar, Ankee and Rishi.

Kartik who has turned producer with a music video is also keen to work in the Northeast.

“The beautiful landscape has so much to offer to celluloid,” he said.

“All these exotic and unexplored locales can give a fresh look to Bollywood,” he added.

”Hopefully, the coronavirus crisis gets over soon. I am excited to come to the Northeast and explore its natural beauty, culture, and the talents,” he added.

Earlier, last year Kartik was the prime force for Atulya Bharat Productions in its flagship programe Mr Miss & Mrs Incredible India.

One of its auditions was held in Guwahati last year.

It was one of its kind cultural beauty contest where the culture of different regions of the country were showcased.

A facebook post on their Atulya Bharat’s post read:

‘These kids were really talented and Child Friendly Guwhati is taking good care of them. Some of them are good dancers and some sung really well. They shared their dreams and hobbies with us. Atulya Bharat Productions is glad to be associated with Child Friendly Guwahati.’
