The Arunachal Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee (APMCC) has condemned the alleged act of ‘shameless’ frisking, checking of undergarments and making women participants to undress in BJP National President Amit Shah’s political rally at Bhilai Charoda district of Chhattisgarh recently.

“This is not for the first time that women are manhandled, thrashed and have undergone embarrassment in Shah’s rally. Such has become an inevitable habit of Amit Shah to disrespect and disgrace women’s dignity. Is he (Shah) not satisfied with intensified security arrangements made by his government? What actually is making him to strip-check women folk?” the APMCC questioned.

The Mahila Congress further said the BJP is reeling under the guilt of being dishonest and unfair to women folk of this country.

BJP’s ‘jhumla’ to ‘save and educate a girl child’ is mere election gimmick to gather attention of female voters. BJP leaders are suffering from ‘melanophobia’ (fear of the colour black) and that is why they are harassing and beating the women wearing black. Such is BJP’s so called women empowerment, the Mahila Congress said.
