The Professional Far East Sports Management has selected three budding badminton players from the three-day All Assam Sub-junior Badminton Scholarship championship. The PFE sports management will very soon sign a contract with the selected badminton players for a financial assistance for one year.
Addressing the media at Dibrugarh indoor stadium here, Pritam Das, founder owner of PFE sports management said, “We have selected three players from the three-day event and will provide financial assistance to the players for advanced badminton coaching outside of Assam. For the first time this thing is happening in Assam.”
He said the PFE sports management is getting a good response in Dibrugarh and altogether 318 budding badminton players from different districts of Assam participated in the three-day event.
“We have selected Avika Borgohain (U-11) from Jorhat, Yashdeep Gogoi (U-13) from Lakhimpur and Isharani Baruah (U-15) from Dibrugarh. We will soon sign a contract of one year with them and provide facilities to them to show their talent at the national level. All three of them have the potential to feature in national level,” Das said.
He further added their main aim is to tap the talent and groom them properly to compete in national level.
The event was organised in association with Dibrugarh District Association from January 5.
