Assam Police has rolled out various online services which are available in its CCTNS Portal.
As per information, available at the Assam Police’s CCTNS Portal – assampolice.assam.gov.in – using the portal, now the citizens can avail online registration of complaint, avail tenant verification, domestic help verification, employee verification and character certificate.

With the rolling out of the new online services, the citizens now can avail several online services without visiting the police stations.
Besides, if any organization wants to organize any rally, stage protest, take out procession, and seek permission for the same, they would be able to place the request through online without visiting the police station.
On the other hand, police authority can now be requested for event performance through online.

The other online services, available on CCTNS Portal, are vehicle inquiry and C-form.
The portal can be accessed using the URL www.assampolice.assam.gov.in.
The features of the portal are FIR downloading facility, SMS/Email acknowledgement for submitted request, availability of online information like missing persons, wanted criminals, etc.
Assam Police has also created some other services for the citizens.
“We have enabled OTP login for the convenient of user login. The SMS service is enabled to get confirmation about the request submitted and the status update,” stated Assam Police in its CCTNS Portal.
The support mail ID is [email protected] at which the citizens can send suggestions / feedback for improvement of their services.
The Citizen Portal helpline number – 0361-2460303 – has been enabled for suggestion/queries/feedback.
A video demo in Assamese/English is also available on the citizen portal for the first time user.
Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) is a plan scheme conceived in the light of experience of a non-plan scheme namely – Common Integrated Police Application (CIPA).
CCTNS is a Mission Mode Project under the National e-Governance Plan of Govt of India.
CCTNS aims at creating a comprehensive and integrated system for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of policing through adopting of principle of e-Governance and creation of a nationwide networking infrastructure for evolution of IT-enabled-state-of-the-art tracking system around ‘Investigation of crime and detection of criminals’.
