Gauhati University has started the process of admission for postgraduate (PG) classes for the session 2019-20.

Informing this, the secretary of University Classes and convenor of the admission committee of Gauhati University in a press communiqué said there will be a Common Entrance Test for admission into the PG Programmes of study in the university departments and its affiliated colleges.

For the convenience of the students appearing in the entrance test, the university has announced 12 examination Centres – Arunachal Pradesh, Bongaigaon, Sonitpur (erstwhile Darrang), Diphu, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Meghalaya, Nagaon, Pathsala, Silchar, North Lakhimpur and Gauhati University.

It has been mandatory that all students seeking admission in the PG level in Gauhati University and in its affiliated colleges appear in the Common Entrance Test announced by the university.

The entrance test will be held from June 29, 2019 to July 3, 2019.

The entire process of submission of forms will be online.

The last date for submission of the form and payment of entrance fee is June 15, 2019.

The press communiqué also stated that the students, seeking admission under the quota of EC, FV, NCC, NSS and so on, will have to submit the downloaded prescribed form either in the office of the director of Students Welfare or in Room No 14 of the office of the Secretary, University Classes, GU on or before June 15, 2019.
