Sivasagar district joined the nation in observing Vigilance Awareness Week, which began on Monday.
In this regard, a meeting was held at Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Lakshmi Priya‘s office.
The meeting was called on to show zero tolerance against corruption and work with sheer integrity and complete transparency.
The DC also administered a pledge of integrity, which was also taken by all the government offices of the district.
A slogan writing competition will also be organised among all government offices including the DC office.
Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week every year is a part of the multi-pronged approach of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
The purpose here is to encourage all stakeholders to collectively participate in the fight against corruption and to raise public awareness.
With the theme “Integrity- A way of life”, Vigilance Awareness Week would be observed from Monday to Saturday.
