Guwahati: The United Peopleโs Party Liberal (UPPL) unveiled its third batch of nominees for the Assam Assembly elections on March 19, focusing on the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
Party president Pramod Boro approved the list after consultations with the Central Working Committee and Core Committee, according to an official release from the UPPL office in Kokrajhar.
Five constituencies are included in this round ahead of the April 9, 2026 polls.
The candidates named are: Pratibha Brahma for 4 No. Baokhungri, Ayub Hussain Mondal for 5 No. Parbotjhora, Ranjit Basumatary for 19 No. Sidli-Chirang (ST), Pabitra Baro for 44 No. Goreswar, and Rabindra Basumatary for 47 No. Mazbat.
The party is working to expand in the BTR, balancing experienced members with newcomers on its candidate list.
According to General Secretary (A) Raju Kumar Narzary, the list has been shared publicly as part of the partyโs efforts to ramp up its election campaign in Assam.
