New building of KV, Mangaldai. Northeast Now

Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain for the first time will visit Darrang district on Wednesday.

Union Minister Gohain will ceremonially inaugurate the new permanent building of the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mangaldai at Gosaigaon under Chowka Block in Mangaldai.

The state-of-the-art building of the school under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India with a capacity to accommodate 1,000 students at a time has been constructed at an estimated cost of nearly Rs 18 crore.

In this connection, a public function has been organized in the school premises where Ramen Deka, Member of Parliament of Mangaldai LS Constituency, Santosh Kr Mall, Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), New Delhi and many other distinguished guests are scheduled to remain present.

The students of the school are also going to present several colourful cultural items on the occasion. It may be mentioned here that it will be the maiden visit of the Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain to the district of Darrang after assuming office as MosS for Railways.

The people of Darrang, which is yet to be included in the  Railway map of the country even after seventy two years of independence, are eagerly waiting to hear some encouraging announcement from the MoS for Railway in this regard.
