External affairs minister S Jaishankar along with the Ambassador of Japan to India, Satoshi Suzuki, on Monday visited the JICA-funded Guwahati water supply project site along the Brahmaputra.

Union minister Jaishankar reviewed the progress of the project along with the Japanese Ambassador of Japan.

Informing their visit to the project site, Union minister Jaishankar tweeted on Monday: โ€œA foreign policy that makes a difference to the lives of people.โ€

While sharing pictures of the visit, Jaishankar said: โ€œAt the JICA-funded Guwahati water supply project site along the Brahmaputra. Reviewing its progress along with the Japanese Ambassador.โ€

Satoshi Suzuki while tweeting their visit to the water supply project site said Japan is happy to support the important project.

โ€œVisited #Guwahati Water Supply project site with @DrSJaishankar. Japan is pleased to support this important project. Clean water will soon flow to the homes in Guwahati,โ€ Suzuki tweeted.

Union Jaishankar began his dayโ€™s journey by visiting the Kamakhya Temple.

During his visit to the Kamakhya Temple, the Union minister was accompanied by Assam finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
