Bhaskar Sharma, an officer of the Associated National Cadet Corps (NCC) belonging to the 10 Assam Battalion NCC, Dibrugarh Group and Rina Singh, Associated National Cadet Corps officer has been awarded the DG Commendation Card for the year 2017. They were given the award by the Director General of NCC General BS Sahrawat.
The award was presented to him by ADG Major General Raju Chauhan at a commemorative event which was held in Rajiv Gandhi Indoor stadium, Guwahati recently, informed an official.
Bhaskar Sharma, a Mathematics and Computer Science teacher at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School was awarded for his sincerity and dedication to the cause of NCC in the Dibrugarh chapter of the organization.
He is also in charge of the National Cadet Corps at the Don Bosco School in which he teaches.
Rina Singh, is an Associated National Cadet Corps officer belonging to the 63 Assam Battalion, NCC, Dibrugarh.
Sharma and Singh are the only two individuls from the Northeast who have been given the coveted Director General Commendation Card this year according to a press statement.
