The COVID-19 positive cases in Assam reached 58 on Friday evening after two more cases reported from Cachar district.
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in a tweet that two more persons from Cachar, who travelled in the bus, which ferried people from Rajasthan, infected with the coronavirus.

Earlier in the day, three other persons from Cachar, who took a bus journey from Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan to Silchar in Assam, tested positive for the viral infection.
The COVID-19 situation in Assam deteriorated since Thursday after eight people—four from Guwahati and four others from Cachar, tested positive for the deadly virus.
