One person died on the spot, another died on reaching hospital and the rest 11 injured were hospitalize on Friday when a tempo in which they were travelling from Bhandara in Bongaigaon district to Bilasipara in Dhubri district hit behind a trailer-truck which was parked beside the 31 National Highway at Goraimari in Bongaigaon district.
Deceased have been identified as Abdul Samad (52) and Zelhak (10), both were the resident of Bhandara.

According to Anowar Hussain, 42, a resident of Bhandara who received minor injury in the mishap, said that a total of 12 persons including himself were going to Bilasipara to settle a marriage for a girl of their native village and on the way at Goraimari the mishap took place.
Goraimari, the mishap site, is 6 km west from Bhandara and about 70 km from Bilasipra. All injured have been admitted to Lower Assam Hospital and Research Center here. Critically injured driver Anowar was also admitted in the same hospital.
