Assam BJP president Bhabesh Kalita has reportedly said that the state government will consider tripling on two-wheelers after petrol prices touch Rs 200.
“When petrol prices touch Rs 200, the state government can be approached for permission to allow tripling on two-wheelers,” said Assam BJP chief Bhabesh Kalita.

Kalita reportedly made this bizarre remark during an event at Tamulpur in Assam.
Reports claim that the Assam BJP chief said people should avoid using cars and instead opt for tripling.

Meanwhile, in Guwahati on Tuesday, while petrol is being sold at a price of Rs 101.97, the price of diesel is recorded at Rs 94.43.
On the other hand, Assam BJP president Bhabesh Kalita further said that prices of mustard oil will also decline after harvest of mustard cultivation in the state.
“After we are done with harvest of mustard cultivation, prices of cooking oil will also further reduce,” Bhabesh Kalita said.
