The campaign kicked off from Thursday, on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other social media platforms with creative visuals and multimedia graphics on cyber safety and wellness.
Additionally, Assam Police is also planning to conduct workshops and training sessions for schools and colleges where experts from social media and digital media along with Assam Police officials will sensitize young students on cyber safety.
An added feature of these workshops and training sessions will be self-defence demonstrations, as at times cyber stalking is followed by physical stalking.

These initiatives have been initiated by Assam Police keeping in view the increasing influence of social media on the youth and children.
In recent times, various ugly incidents of crime ranging from as grave as the Dokmoka lynching or petty incidents of eve teasing have taken place in this State, thanks to misuse of social media.
Social media today has an intense impact on our lives these days.
With the younger generation spending more and more time on social media, it’s important to ensure that all of us understand positives and negatives of the internet culture, as its impact is only going to keep growing exponentially in our lives.
With this sole objective Assam Police is set to embark on this ambitious project.
