The death toll due to Covid-19 in Assam has climbed to 132 with the state registering six more fatalities on Friday.
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said six more COVID patients succumbed to the disease on Friday.
Praban Kumar Agarwala (57) of Dhubri, Sita Devi (56) of Kokrajhar, Renu Gogoi (60) of Dibrugarh, Samar Deb (61) of Cachar, Abdul Gofur (68) of Nagaon & Late Nilmani Chakraborty (69) of Kamrup (M) died of the infection in the state.

On Friday, the state recorded a total 2,679 cases of which 442 reported from Kamrup (Metro), 265 from Kamrup, 250 from Cachar and 172 from Nagaon.
The state has so far registered 55,496 cases and a total of 37, 224 patients have recovered. The state currently has a total of 18,137 active cases.
On Friday, 1,585 Covid-19 patients were discharged from different hospitals and Covid-care centres of the state after they tested negative for the virus.
Till date, 1,921 personnel of the Assam Police have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, five have died and 1,309 recovered, with 443 rejoining duty.
Assam police constable Lakheswar Hazarika reportedly succumbed to the disease on Friday. Health minister Sarma, however, has not confirmed the death.
